targets 146 and 109 are very close.
146 is 5% stiffer at 5ips partially from 15flsprs.
- use 109 for 16flsprs and phm bladder.
- use 146 for 15flsprs and stk ressy piston.

  • If you want light cforce at 2ips use target 103_58_30_g.
  • We can assume there is a minimum amount of c force needed at 2ips, depending on the application.
  • And there is a bare minimum needed for any application.

  • Updated 8-17-22
  • c-zeta reverse engineers compression numbers based on spring rate and lev ratio.    [see zeta_backwards_shc.xlsx]
  • Each c-zeta curve is for a specific bike and lev ratio as well as the internal shock components.
  • The c-zeta targets are based on zeta numbers at 1ips, 5ips, 50ips and are appended with _a, _b, _c, etc.   For example:
    • 145_80_37_f
  • The appended letters represent the pressure shock's shaft diameter, flsprs, ressy piston or bladder.
  • Current letter designations.
    • _b     16sxf250-psh   15 flsprs   18 shaft    ressy pist   69c   73d
    • _f      mx18-psh        15 flsprs   18 shaft    ressy pist   69c   73d
    •                                                   phm bladder kit      71c   75d
    • _g      mx18-psh        16 flsprs   18 shaft   ressy pist    69c    73d
    •                                                   phm bladder kit       71c   75d
    • _g     10yzf450-psh    16 flsprs   18 shaft    bladder      73c    77d
      • _g  is used for both WP and KBY shock with 18 shaft
  • As shown above there are different calculated and dynamic gas forces for each pressure shock.
  • Pressures are temperature sensitive and it is best to test at the same temp for each test.
    • Variations in gas force do not affect the target numbers.
    • Therefore, use the same target numbers regardless of shaft diameter, ressy or bladder.  Just reate a new c-zeta target and adjust the dynamic gas force to match appended letter.
  • Pressure differences from shock to shock.
    • For example, the 2012 and 2016 psh have different dyno gas force.
      • 2012   73c   77 dynamic
      • 2016   69c   73 dynamic
    • The mx18-psh has different gas force for stk ressy piston and phm bladder kit.
      • stk piston      69c   73 dynamic
      • phm bladder   71c   74 dynamic
  • The 2015 and 2016 flsprs produce different ca force and each requires it's own target.
