- 2-12-19. We started valvinglogic in 2004 giving riders and tuners from around the world the ability to share suspension tuning information and data. The valvinglogic database serves as a hub for that effort by providing basic dimensions for all internal components that control damping along with detailed dyno data for each fork and shock configuration.
- Based on dirt bike suspensions, the site started with basic fork and shock configurations and info for KYB and Showa suspension components. In mid 2014 we started adding KTM's.
- Dyno and pressure testing has always been front and center. Information gained from this testing is invaluable. Having actual compression and rebound force numbers allows you to quantify valving changes and makes it easier to analyze rider feedback.
- Our goal has always to been to incorporate this dyno and pressure data into our testing. It does not replace seat of the pants testing, in merely enhances it.
- We constantly strive to improve. Most recently we have added suspension response calculations which allow us to better analyze and compare settings between bikes.
- We make this information available to interested riders and tuner.
