   4CS fork - spring preload

  SET SPRING PRELOAD
 
1)

 -- Drop aluminum tube.
-- Tighten cap.
-- Measure the distance from top of alum tube to bottom of cap.

--> For example, 289mm.
    2)

Notice the 8mm ctg rod extends high enough to hit the cap. 

    3)

Use screwdriver to push ctg rod down to get accurate preload measurement. 

    4)

With the 8mm rod pushed down, take second measurement from top of alum tube to bottom of cap. 

Subtract from first measurement.  The difference is preload.

--> For example, 294 - 289 = 5mm prel.
